Sharon Nelson

Sharon Nelson was born on May 28, 1933 in Chicago to Patrick and Barbara (nee Lepke) Murphy. She died Thursday, August 2, 2012 with family at her side.

Sharon was actively involved in her grandchildren's sporting activities. She loved to travel with her husband, Lloyd, throughout the United States and a number of foreign countries. Sharon loved her family, and was loved by all.

Sharon is survived by her spouse of 60 years, Lloyd, whom she married June 21, 1952; Daughter, Gail (Paul) Claytor; Sons, Craig (Kathy) Nelson, and Jeff (Dina) Nelson; Grandchildren Bryan Nelson, Mark Nelson, Tyler Nelson, Teagan Nelson, Troy Nelson, Chris (Kelly) Claytor, Jay (Juliet) Claytor; , Michelle Claytor; Great-Grandchildren, Caitlin Claytor, Colin Claytor, and Morgan Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Hts. Rd.,(4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights. Funeral Service, Monday, August 6, 2012, 10:00 am, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
