George R. Warren
Of Arlington Heights

George R. Warren, formerly of Des Plaines, was born February 8, 1929 in Chicago to Gus and Emma (nee Hammer) Warren. He died on Monday, August 29, 2011 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Warren started his career with Commonwealth Edison Company as a cable splicer and worked his way to foreman by the time of his retirement. He was a volunteer fireman for the City of Des Plaines for many years, and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his children, Thomas (Kathleen) Warren of Wildwood, MO, and Nancy Warren of Arlington Hts.; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Warren; his brother, Robert J. Warren; and his nephews, Richard (Emily) Hildenbrand, and Gus (Michele) Warren.

George was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Warren; his parents; his sister-in-law Violet Warren, his brother-in-law Ralph (Ruth) Hildenbrand and his nephew, Robbie (Claudia) Hildenbrand.

Visitation from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights where Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2011. Interment is at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Christ Church United Church of Christ, 1492 Henry Ave., Des Plaines, IL 60016.
