Ross Lamar Smith Sr.
Of Arlington Heights
Ross Lamar Smith Sr. was born on December 12, 1925 to John and Lyntice
Smith in Rutherfordton, NC. He passed away on August 24, 2011 in
Arlington Heights.
He served in the Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a
successful entrepreneur and was a manufacturer’s representative for
multiple companies for 37 years.
Ross is survived by his wife Rita (nee Nickless); his children, Ross L.
Smith Jr., Rebeka Lynn Pratt, Laura Linda Eaton and Jennifer Liz Norris;
his grandchildren, Shawn, Becky, Mitchaleen, Sabrina and Samuel; his
nine great grandchildren and his sister Judy.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffany Liza Smith; and his
brothers, Earl, Norris and Harold Smith.
Funeral Service, Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 6:30 PM and Visitation from
4:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at the Glueckert Funeral
Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine
Road) Arlington Heights. Interment Private.
