Lacy Cornelius Wall, Jr.

Lacy Cornelius Wall, Jr. was born October 19, 1947 to Lacy Cornelius,
Sr. and Lena River Wall, in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He died
Saturday, August 13, 2011 at his residence in Arlington Heights.
Lacy served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War in which he
received his technological training. He worked for various companies in
the technology field throughout his career and most recently worked as a
Marketing Specialist for Grace Services of Barrington. Lacy was an
active member of the Men’s Bible Study at Calvary Chapel in Elk Grove
Village. Involved with the Boy Scouts as a child, he later was a leader
in his son’s troop. He had a love for Gospel, Bluegrass, and Jazz music.
He immersed himself in new technology and relished sharing with others
his latest cell phone app. A master of one liners, he was a
compassionate and welcoming man, always up for a game of cards or
dominoes. Lacy loved his family, his friends and most of all the Lord.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pamela Scudder Wall, whom he
married June 24, 1978; his children Nathan Wall and Colleen Wall of
Arlington Heights; his sisters Jean (John) Swan and Avis Miller.
Lacy was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 3:00 PM until the time of the
Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N.
Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington
Heights. Interment is Private.
