Thomas J. Lally
Of Buffalo Grove
Thomas J. Lally was born March 10, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts to
William J. and Mildred C. (nee Hennessey) Lally. He died on Sunday,
August 14, 2011 at the Lutheran Home for the Aged in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Lally was a 1953 graduate of Boston College. He worked for Allstate
Insurance Company for 32 years until his retirement in 1991. He was
active at the Allstate Tennis Club for 30 years, and he enjoyed golfing
for 40 years at the
Buffalo Grove Golf Club, and the Bay Ridge Golf Course in Sister Bay,
Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy (nee Berge) Lally whom he
married June 1, 1957 in Westwood, MA; his children, Elizabeth (David)
Buschmann, Christopher (Jill) Lally, Susan (Fred) Chiu, and Anna (David)
Doyle; his grandchildren, Patrick, Megan, Bridget, Michael, Tess, Sara,
Amelia, and Jasmine.
Thomas was preceded in death by brother, William John Lally Jr.: and by
his parents.
Visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 17, 2011 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Friday,
August 19, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Saint Mary
Catholic Parish 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at
10:00 AM.
