Joseph Clyde Mabus
Of Prospect Heights

Joseph C. Mabus was born December 20, 1952 in Chicago to Norman P. and Theresa M. (Nee Spina) Mabus. He died on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in Prospect Heights.

Joseph served in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician and was a member of IBEW Local # 134 for over 35 years. Joe was an avid PADI certified SCUBA diver, and he traveled the world.

Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Roy

He is survived by his fiancée, Debbie Heinen; his children, Vanessa (Jim) Collado, Elaine Epp, Joe Mabus, and Katie (Tom) Shawke; his six grandchildren; his parents Norman and Theresa; his sisters, Nora (Frank) Stankiewicz, Theresa (John) Koelle, and Mari (Neil Berkowitz) Mabus; and his best friends, Karen and John Lorek.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights where Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 13, 2011. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
