Joan B. Schaefges

Joan B. Schaefges was born February 21, 1934 in Oak Park to Raymond and Emma (Zumbrunnen) Schwartz. She died Monday August 17, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

She is survived by her children, Raymond (Coryne) Schaefges, Ann Schaefges, Barbara (Rex) Luhrsen, and Frank (Patricia) Schaefges; her son-in-law, Brian Malinowski; her grandchildren, Dane, Danielle, Stephen, and Letisha; step-grandchildren, Michelle and Susie; and her brother, Gerald Schwartz.

Joan is preceded in death by her husband Jerome; her daughter Linda Malinowski; her brother, Ronald Schwartz; and her parents.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday August 23, 2009, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Monday August 24, 2009, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 450 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial will be at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The American Diabetes Association, The Arthritis Foundation, or The Mercy Home for Boys and Girls.
