Robert W. Burrow
of Lake Zurich

A celebration of life will be held August 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 S. Northwest Highway in Barrington for Bob Burrow.

Born on March 6, 1926 in Long Beach California, Bob died in Lake Zurich on August 4, surrounded by family. Bob graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School and attended the University of California at Santa Barbara. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944-1945.

The owner of Bob Burrow Chevrolet from 1960 to 1983, Bob’s interest in automobiles began at an early age. While a car dealer, he was active in Barrington, in the automotive industry, and in local politics.

Married to Lois Eich (from Arlington Heights) in Riverside, California on August 21, 1948, they moved to Illinois in 1950, where they raised their family. On their 60th anniversary, they visited the Riverside Mission Inn where they had been married, and re-created their wedding photos.

Bob was a successful businessman, a world traveler, an avid golfer and boater.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gertrude and Albert Burrow, and a nephew Greg Burrow and niece Alison Burrow. He is survived by his wife Lois, his brother Al, children Bruce (Beverly), Bonnie, Donna Gallagher (Rich), Dale (Nancy), his grandchildren Kelly, Robert, Ryan (Tiffany), Lynsay, Becky Lynn (Michael), Suzie Willard (Jim), Mike Gallagher (Herni), nine great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Eunice Granzin (Wisconsin), brother-in-law Bob Eich (Arlington Heights), and several nieces and nephews and their many spouses and children.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monarch Hospice Foundation at 5435 Bull Valley Road, Suite 304, McHenry, IL 60050.
