Clara Scharringhausen

Clara Scharringhausen was born on May 13, 1914 in Arlington Heights to John A. and Wilhelmina (nee Moehling) Meyer. She passed away on August 27, 2008 in Arlington Heights.

Clara volunteered at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights where she knitted baby caps for the newborns in the nursery.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. (the late Stuart) Johnson; her grandchildren, Darrin, Kendra and Blake; and her great-grandchildren, David, Keli, Matthew, Michael and Christopher.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon M. Scharringhausen; her sister, Della Ackerman; and her brother, Wilbert Meyer.

Visitation Tuesday, September 2, 2008 from 9:00 Am until the time of services at 11:00 Am at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
