Agnes R. Gallagher

Agnes R. Gallagher was born on June 18, 1924 in Providence, RI to James and Katherine (nee Doyle) Farley. She passed away on August 2, 2008 in Schaumburg.

Agnes enjoyed reading, gardening and solving crossword puzzles. She worked at the Pentagon on the busiest switchboard in the world during WWII.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Francis V. Gallagher; her children, Patricia Polizzi of Devon, PA, Edward Gallagher of Lisle, Thomas (Barbara) Gallagher of Roselle, Nancy (Richard) Stanis of St. Charles, Kevin (Katherine) Gallagher of Hoffman Estates, Joyce (Laura Fitts) Gallagher of West Chester, PA and Terrence (Mimi) Gallagher of Maple Grove, MN; her 24 grandchildren and her 9 great grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents and her 4 siblings..

Visitation Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights from 9:00 AM until the time of prayers at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
