Fred W. Vida

Fred W. Vida was born on August 9, 1937 in Chicago to Martin and Anna (nee Michalik) Vida. He passed away on August 5, 2007 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Vida was a retired banker having worked for Continental Illinois Bank and The Northern Trust.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kathleen A. (nee Clark), his daughters, Elizabeth (Ryan) Opria of Kalamazoo, MI and Margaret (Jonathan) O’Donnell of Santa Monica, CA, his grandchildren, Katherine Opria and Sean O’Donnell, his mother, Anna Vida, his sister, Mary Ann (John) Gardelka, many nieces and nephews and many cousins residing in Slovakia.

He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Pauline Cleveland

Visitation from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment All Saints Cemetery..
