Emily Ann Holum, was born February 14, 2001 in Arlington Heights to Thomas J. and Robin A. (nee Ramicone) Holum. She died Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Emily displayed tremendous strength, courage, and dignity which amazed and impressed all who knew her. Emily was truly beautiful inside and out and easily captured the hearts of everyone. With her beautiful, contagious smile and sparkling blue eyes, Emily could light up a room. What Emily cherished most were all the loving people that surrounded her. Emily’s spirit has lifted us all and made this world a better place. We will miss our Mighty Mite, but she will live in our hearts forever.

Emily was the beloved daughter of Tom and Robin; loving sister of Nicole and Caroline; loved granddaughter of Carol and the late James Ramicone and Ted and Judy Holum; cherished niece of Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Chamberlain, Kimberly (Gaylen) Wester, Christine (John) McGinn, Joseph (Mary Jo) Ramicone, and Tracy Dye; and many loving cousins.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
