Jerry E. Donovan
Of Arlington Heights

Jerry E. Donovan was born in Bellefonte, PA on August 31, 1933 to Franklin and Virginia (nee Bertram) Donovan.  He passed away at his home in Arlington Heights on August 7, 2006.

Jerry's career at IBM spanned over 40 years.  He worked as a sales representative, regional manager and eventually personnel manager.  He was active in Rotary/One in Chicago.  He was a Past Worthy Grand Master of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.  He was also involved with the Corporate Responsibility Group of Chicago and the United Way.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia (nee Morley), his children, Patrick of Chicago, Michael (Verna) of Chicago, Timothy of Orlando Fl and Kathleen (Alan) Schneider of Arlington Heights, his grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Breanna and Emily Schneider and Maxwell, Katherine and Nathaniel Donovan, and his sister, Nell (Kenneth) Rachau of Brodenton, FL.
 
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Francis, Thomas and William, and his sister, Ruth.
 
Visitation from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights.  Prayers 9:30 AM Friday, August 11, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM.  Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
