John Paul Blank
Of Arlington Heights

John Paul Blank, 36 year resident of Arlington Heights, was born October 6, 1943 in Chicago to Charles J. and Clara B. (nee Kaitschuck) Blank. He died Sunday, August 6, 2006 at his home in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Blank was a heat treater and head of nitriding for Bodycote Thermal Processing, formerly Lindberg Heat Treating, in Melrose Park for over 42 years.

His survivors include his wife of 36 years, Karen F. (nee Herman) whom he married April 11, 1970; his children Eileen (Scott) Brown of Island Lake, Gary Blank of Normal, Ill., Phillip (Corinne) Blank of Prospect Heights, Steven (Jacqueline) Blank of Mason City, Iowa, Valerie Blank of Laura Blank both of Arlington Heights; his grandchildren Ariana, Calla and Melina Blank, Nathan and Haley Brown; his sister Jeanette (Rudy) Almquist and his brother Charles (Arlys) Blank.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Diane (Gary) Fredricks.

Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, and Wednesday, August 9, 2006 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral service at 10:00 AM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Cancer Research Foundation, P.O. Box 0493, Chicago, IL 60690-0493.
