Earl L. McDermid
Of Buffalo Grove

Earl L. McDermid was born July 27, 1940, in Allen Park, Michigan to Angus and Catherine (nee McDonell) McDermid. He died Saturday, August 6, 2005 at his home.

Mr. McDermid was a self employed recruiter in the food service management industry and proprietor of Earl McDermid and Associates.

Earl has been very active for many years with the Boy Scouts of America and was a current member of the Executive Board of the Northwest Suburban Council and a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of St. Mary Parish where he was an organizer and volunteer of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of the Grove Council #13448.

His survivors include his children Julia Anne McDermid of Lacrosse, Wisconsin and Todd Andrew McDermid of Buffalo Grove; and his brother Duane (Paula) McDermid.

Visitation Tuesday, August 9, 2005 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:00AM, Wednesday, August 10, 1005 at the funeral home proceeding to St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for 10:00 AM Mass. Interment private.
