Benedetta Gariti was born on June 12, 1927 in Chicago to Joseph and Sarah (nee Miceli) Gariti. She passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 in Wheeling.

Benedetta is survived by her sister, Mary Woods; and her nieces, Susan Woods, Karen Kelly, Marie Woods-Pettiti and Katherine Woods.

Visitation Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 9:00 am until the time of prayers at 10:30 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave, Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago, 17 N. State, Suite 1300, Chicago, IL 60602 or to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Chicago, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631.
