Robert F. Koperny was born on November 20, 1931 in Chicago to Walter K. and Harriet Z. (nee Zajakala) Koperny. He passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2013 in Greenfield, WI.

Robert was a graduate of ITT and Northwestern University. He retired as a mechanical engineer from Danly in Cicero. He enjoyed taking care of his family, work, gardening, sitting outside, rainbows and full moons.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Richard) Blanchard, Karen (Jerry) Peltier and Victoria (Mark) Smith; his grandchildren, Erin Blanchard, Brian (Stephanie) Blanchard, Nicole Christison, Anna Christison, Dylan Smith and Haley Smith; his special friends, Millie McGuire, TJ Rosin, Iwona Novak; and the Seasons Hospice Angels, Rosemary, Danielle, Mary, Michelle, Deb, Rhonda, Jeanine, Judy, Julie, April, Tamara and the entire staff.

He was preceded in death by Wife, Darlene M. Koperny.

Visitation from 9:30 am until the time of services at 11:30 am Friday, July 5, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Seasons Hospice Foundation, 6400 Shafer Court, Suite 700, Rosemont, IL 60018.
