Marjorie W. Courtney

Marjorie W. Courtney was born May 29, 1925 in Chicago to Walter J. and Clara E. (nee Theel) Wieland. She died peacefully in her sleep at home on Saturday, July 14, 2012

Marjorie served as a volunteer at the Lincoln Park Zoo for many years, where she was able to love and care for the animals.

Marjorie is survived by her children Susan (James Hardiman) Courtney, Guy W. Courtney and Gaye (Jim) Devona; by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband Guy B. Courtney and by her parents.

Memorial service 11:00 AM, Saturday July 28, 2012 at The South Church, 501 Emerson, Mt. Prospect. The family request business casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Lincoln Park Zoo, P.O. Box 14903, Chicago, IL 60614-2321.
