Carole Rita Nolan, formerly of Glencoe, was born January 28, 1932 in Chicago to Martin and Caroline ( nee Alton) Nolan. She died July 4, 2012 at her home .

Ms. Nolan was the President and CEO for WBEZ, Chicago Public Radio.

Her survivors include her dear friend Jane Marie Smith; her Godchildren Robert Rosenkoetter, Kenneth Looby and Michael Redmond; and her cousins Robert (Sue) Rosenkoetter, Cindy (Don) Fielding, Craig (Yvonne) Alton, Sharon (Bruce) Bohlin, Laverne Alton, Anne Nolan and Joanne Alton.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents; and her cousins William and Miles Alton and William Nolan.

Visitation Monday, July 9, 2012 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Committal Service 12:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Chapel, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip, IL 60803.
