Loreto Giovenco was born on October 25, 1941 in Alta Villa Milicia, Palermo Sicily to Giovanni Giovenco and Cira Damiano. He died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Arlington Heights, Illinois, where he was preceded in death by his wife Rosa Giovenco, (32 years of marriage)..

Loreto worked as a Cement Mason in Local 502. He was a member of St. Ednas Catholic Church
in Arlington Heights.

Loreto is survived by his 3 children, Cira (Tony) Dugo, Giovanna (Phil) Citrano; and Giuseppe (Maria Laura) Giovenco; 3 Granddaughters,Maria Dugo, Loreta Dugo, and Rosa Bella Giovenco; 4 Grandsons, Antonino Citrano, Alessandro Citrano, Domenico Citrano, and Gino Giovenco; 4 Brothers, Giovanni ( the late Giovanna) Giovenco, Antonino (Gaetana) Giovenco, Giuseppe (Isabelle) Giovenco, and Salvatore (Lia) Giovenco; 1 Sister, Rosa (Biaggio) Giovenco; Brother-in-law, Rosario (Judy) Pecoraro; and Mother-in-law, Giovanna (the late Giuseppe) Pecoraro; .

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Prayers at 9:15 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., then proceeding to St. Emily's Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Road, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056, for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Entombment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
