Donna J. Scheldrup
Of Arlington Heights
Donna J. Scheldrup was born May 29, 1928 in Stoughton, Wisconsin to Arne
and Johanna (nee Engsland) Roang. She passed away on Wednesday, July 20,
2011 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Scheldrup worked 28 years as a Special Education Teacher for
Arlington Heights School District # 25 until her retirement in 1995. She
was a member of the Altar Guild and was very involved with various
church programs at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed shopping,
reading, and especially spending time at her lake home in Wisconsin.
Donna loved her family and was loved by all.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Arthur Scheldrup, whom she
married August 1,1953 in Stoughton, Wisconsin; her children, Mark
(Susan) Scheldrup of Arlington Heights, and Jennifer (Steve) Firnbach of
Rockton, Illinois; her grandchildren, Laura Firnbach, Daniel and Matthew
Scheldrup, Jordan Firnbach, and Anna Scheldrup.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until time of Funeral Service 5:00 PM, Sunday,
July 24, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington
Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.
Interment is 1:30 PM, Monday, July 25, 2011 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to your favorite
charity.
