AllenTaylor Smith
Of Prospect Heights
Allen “Al” Taylor Smith was born on March 11, 1928 to Pearl Taylor and
Agnes Lillian (nee Kopplin) Smith in Chicago. He passed away on July 11,
2011 at his home in Prospect Heights.
Al was very active in the Rob Roy community. He was an avid fisherman
and also enjoyed golfing, bowling and bocci ball. Al lived his life with
a smile on his face and was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Vicki M. Smith of Cary, Christine P.
(Clifford W.) Tuohey of Mt. Prospect and Sharon L. (Eric S.) Warner of
Palatine; his grandchildren, Kimberly (Daniel) White, Kelly Weaver, and
Kristin, Danielle and Lukas Warner; and his sister, Bertha Mae Cochran.
Allen is preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine (nee Oberg) and his
brother-in-laws, Donald Oberg and Chuck Cochran.
Visitation Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks
south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10 AM,
Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at
Ridgewood Cemetery.
