Sam N. Abenanti
Of Arlington Heights
Sam N. Abenanti was born September 29, 1920 in Chicago to Joseph and
Mary (nee Anzelone) Abenanti. He died on Wednesday, July 7, 2011 at
Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
He is survived by his wife, Anne (nee Phillips) Trunk; his nieces, Joan
(William) Carlson and Mary Alice (Ronald) Follett; his nephew, Frank
Kiley; his eight grand nieces and nephews; his stepdaughter, Barbara
(Dennis) Kocher; his step grandson, David (Margaret) Lane; his three
step great-grandchildren; and his many friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Dan
(Mildred) Abenanti, Martin (the late Mary) Abenanti and Sara Kiley
Kurfirst.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, July 10, 2011 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, and Monday, July 11, 2011 from
9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia Catholic
Church, 700 S. Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect. Entombment is at Memory Gardens
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to a charity of
your choice.
