Dorothy Jane Alexander
Of Arlington Heights
Dorothy J. Alexander was born December 23, 1929 in Wilmette to Alfred
William and Jane Edna (nee Munster) Lutter. She passed away on Monday,
July 4, 2011 in Arlington Heights.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Lucius Alexander; her
children, William L. (Catherine) Behrend, Susan L. (Michael) Updike,
Carol J. McLuckie, and June A. Behrend; her stepchildren, Kimberly
(Michael) Armbruster, Virginia (Donald) Umbdenstock, and William
Alexander; her grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Behrend, Megan,
Madison, and Morgan McLuckie, Nick and Caitlin Updike, and Michael and
Thomas Rahman; her step grandchildren, Christopher and Sarah Armbruster,
Jonathon Umbdenstock, and Ryan (Kasandra) and Lee Alexander; her step
great-grandchildren, Riley and Kalli Alexander; and her brothers, Donald
and Richard Lutter.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her children, Michael, Joan, and Thomas
Behrend; her brother, Alfred William Lutter, II; and her parents.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Friday, July 8, 2011 at St.
Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights
from 10:00 AM until Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment is at St.
Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American
Heart Assn., Memorials & Tributes 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL
60674 or The Tug McGraw Foundation, 1303 Jefferson St., Suite 100B,
Napa, CA 94559 to benefit individuals with brain tumors.
