Norma J. Davis

Norma J. Davis was born on October 4, 1929 in Hanover, Illinois to Roscoe and Charlotte (nee McCoy) Parker. She passed away on July 23, 2010 in Yakima, WA.

Norma was very active at First United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights, helping with the P.A.D.S. program, yearly rummage sale and serving after church with the Changing Times Circle Group. Norma loved to learn about new things and places, travelling all over the country with her sister Lillian. She was an avid reader, loved to sew, and enjoyed the Elderhostel trips she attended. Norma was a devoted fan of the arts, attending the Goodman Theater and Lincolnshire monthly, with her sister. A fan of history, she loved attending family reunions and tracing her family genealogy.

She is survived by her children, Christine (Joel) Rosaaen of Spring Grove, MN, Cynthia (Lewis) Walloch of Wheeling and Gregory Davis of Palatine; her grandchildren, Carrie ( Travis Petersen) Rosaaen, Jennifer (Nick Stortz)) Rosaaen, Thomas (Carla) Walloch and Lauren Davis; and her sister, Lillian Gragg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Davis and her parents.

Visitation Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 3:00 PM until the time of services at 8:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment is private.

Memorial contributions may be given to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
