Of Prospect Heights
Howard Victor Lindh was born on October 24, 1919 to Victor E. and Edith Lindh in Chicago. He died July 11, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Before retiring, Mr. Lindh was an Engineer and Marketing Supervisor for Commonwealth Edison. He was President of the Lakeview Lions Club 1968-1969. Howard was an avid amateur radio operator from the early 1940’s W9HJ Extra, on the honor roll DXCC of America and an honorable member of ARRL. He served with the signal Corps in the Army during WW II.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Pauline (nee Minch); his daughter Linda Lindh; his grandchildren, Michael (Diana) Hrametz and Kathy (Michael) Turchan; and his great grandchildren, Danny, Lauren, Jennifer, Nicole and Michael.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Edward and Doris.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Fairview Memorial Park.
