Robert
W. Neumann
Of Arlington Heights
Robert W. Neumann was born February 9, 1931 in Chicago to William and
Emma (nee Reimer) Neumann. He passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 at
Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Neumann was a contractor in the remodeling industry. He was a
veteran of the Korean Conflict, where he was twice decorated with the
Bronze Star, and received a battlefield promotion to Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris J. (nee Dickinson) Neumann
whom he married on July 3,1952; his children, Gregory (Linda) Neumann,
and Douglas (Kelly) Neumann; his grandchildren, Angela (Joseph) Draper,
Robert (Jenny) Neumann, Joshua (Jessica) Neumann, Kaitlyn, Philip, and
Courtney Neumann; and his great-grandchildren, Alexander, Benjamin, and
Lillian Draper, and expecting two more.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Gilbert,
Elmer, his twin Donald, Arlene, and Mildred.
Visitation is from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and from 9:00 AM until the time
of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W.
Olive St., Arlington Heights. Interment is at Memory Gardens Cemetery in
Arlington Heights.
