Steven A. Baer
Of Palatine

Steven A. Baer was born July 19, 1951 in Chicago and raised in Buffalo Grove, to Inez (nee Erickson) and Alfred R. Baer. He passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights surrounded by family and friends. Steve had been battling cancer since 2005.

Steve graduated in 1970 from Wheeling High School and currently worked at First Student, formerly Laidlaw, and National School Bus Services for the past 18 years. He also worked in the entertainment industry for Pro DJ’s for 19 years where he loved to make people laugh and truly enjoy themselves.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beryl (nee Friedman) Baer whom he married on September 13, 1992; his sister Linda (Brian) Sebenik; his sister-in-laws, Roachelle (Clem) Cerney of Davis Junction, Illinois and Ethel Russ of Hudson Florida; and several nieces and nephews and many loving friends.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights where Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, July 7, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to The American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 in honor of Steven Baer.
