Roger Allen Herrmann

Roger Allen Herrmann was born April 30,1942 in Chicago to Edger C. and Jeanne (Von Relick) Herrmann. He Died Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Arlington Heights.

Roger was a store manger for Jewel Companies, Inc. from 1964 to 1973. He was the owner of White Hen Pantry on Busse Road in Mt. Prospect from 1973 to 2004. He started the Gutter Clotters Bowling League and held offices for 36 years. He was the treasurer for two local AA groups and a volunteer for local treatment groups.

His survivors Include his wife of 43 years Phyllis (nee Provenzano) whom he married February 19, 1966 at Our Lady of Mercy in Chicago; his children Keith (JoEtta) Herrmann, Kenneth Herrmann, and Kristina (David) Harvey; grandchildren Justin, Matthew, Jeremy, Katie, Heather, Lillian, Sarah, Jake, Luke, and step-grandson Alex; his siblings Nancy Nagelberg, and Janis Brown, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephew.

He is preceded in death by his sister in law Pauline (Paul) Heidemann and his parents.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday July 22, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Thursday July 23, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Entombment at All Saints Cemetery.
