Evelyn Deeke
Of Bloomingdale formerly of Arlington Heights

Evelyn Deeke was born September 2, 1925 to Emil and Anna (Fleming) Gatzke. She died July 12, 2009 at the Maple Crest Care Centre in Belvidere.

Evelyn maintained her independence much of her life. She enjoyed arts, crafts, gardening and traveling.

Evelyn is survived by her children Wayne (Margaret) Deeke of Hanover Park, Barbara (Arland) Dieckhoff of Belvidere, Ronald Deeke of Bloomingdale and Gary (Karen) Deeke of Branson, MO ; her 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Vernon G. Deeke; her brothers Art (Elsie), Harold (Evelyn), Herb (Ruth) and Ewald Gatzke and by an infant sister.

Visitation Friday, July 17, 2009 from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 12 PM, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights. Interment at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mt. Prospect.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to. St. Peter Lutheran Church.
