Charles L. Summers
Of Bartlett

Charles L. Summers was born on January 23, 1953 in Baltimore Maryland to William and Margaret (nee Krusman) Summers. He passed away July 10, 2009 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

Charlie graduated from Rapid City School of Mines & Technology. He worked for Inland Steel and Mapes and Sprowl Steel as a specialized metallurgist for over 35 years. He was recognized throughout the country for his expertise in his field.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Summers of Spearfish, SD; his sister, Charlene (Marvin) Crawford of Heart Butte, MT; his niece, Meg Crawford; nephews, Lee and Joe Crawford; and his great uncle, George Kettering.

Visitation Wednesday from3:00 until the time of Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
