Robert Busse
Of Arlington Heights

Robert Busse, formerly of Palatine, was born October 25, 1916, to Gustav and Alice (nee Hansen) Busse. He died July 29, 2008 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

With a degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University, Mr. Busse retired with almost 40 years of service from DeSoto, Inc. where he last served as HQ Plant Comptroller. During WW II he served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Sibley as a Storekeeper 2nd class.

His survivors include his wife Jeannette (nee Torgersen) whom he married August 30, 1940; his son Scott (Carolyn) Busse of Wheeling, his daughter Joan (Robert) Peters of Carroll, Iowa; and his grandchildren Jeff and Lisa Busse.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ruth.

Visitation from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10:00 AM, Monday, August 4, 2008 at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Rd., Palatine. Interment Iprivate.
