Leroy L. Guenther
Of Buffalo Grove

Leroy L. “Lee” Guenther was born June 25, 1942 in Evanston to Otto and Frieda (nee Krueger) Guenther. He died July 28, 2008 at his home.

Mr. Guenther was a tool and die maker for Hunter Automated for 36 years. His interests include Astronomy, Military history and the EAA Warbirds Squadron 4.

Leroy is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Wolff) Guenther, whom he married July 2, 1960; his children Daniel (Nancy) Guenther, Sherry (Wally) Meyer, Richard (Carla) Guenther, Steven (Cathy) Guenther, Jennifer (Doug) Fox and Deb (Tom) Krueger; his grandchildren Sarah, Josh, Cassie, Andrea, Tyler, Jessica, Eric, Sandy, Derek, Allison, Alaina, Haley and Lacey; his siblings Betty (Guy) Viti and Robert Guenther.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Norman Guenther, Adeline Herriman, Wilbert Guenther, Richard Guenther, Jane Wendlick and Marvin Guenther.


Memorial visitation Sunday from 2 PM until the time of memorial service at 4 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
