died Wednesday, July 9,
2008, at her home in
Arlington Heights where
she had lived for 37
years.
Esther retired from the
Village of Arlington
Heights after 15 years
of employment. She
previously worked for
Prospect Garage Door
Company, William A.
Lewis, Rapp’s
Restaurant, Imperial
Printing Company and had
been a long-time
employee of Salerno
Cookie Company, Niles,
for 22 years.
Esther is survived by
her 5 children, Donna
Livengood (Russellville,
AR), Terry “T.L.”
McNichols, previous
owner of Kwik Kopy
Printing, Arlington
Heights and now residing
in Bonita Springs, FL,
Bruce Gjertsen, formerly
of Libertyville, owner
of The Meadows Inn Bed &
Breakfast, Port Angeles,
WA, Daryl Allen,
Esther’s caregiver, of
Arlington Heights and
Denise Leifel Russ of
Algonquin, IL; her
grandchildren, Lori
Ettinger (Bruce) and
great grandchildren
Jessica, Jacob and
Allison; Mindi Conerly
Piggot (Bruce) with a
great grandchild to
arrive August 11th;
Jennifer Erenberg
(Donna) and great
grandchildren Skyler and
Quinlan; Jeremy,
Christopher and Bryan
Leifel (Denise);
Brittany McNichols
(Terry); Dayna Allen
(Daryl); and her sisters
Eve Lee of Largo, FL and
Chris Renegar of Pompton
Plains, NJ – formerly of
Elmhurst.
She is preceded in death
by her parents and her
sister, Rita Blume.
