Robert J. “Bob” Swanson
of Marquette, MI, formerly of Arlington Heights

Robert J. Swanson was born on January 12, 1926 in Chicago. He passed away on June 15, 2008 in Ishpeming, MI.

Bob was a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) earning degrees in chemistry & chemical engineering. Until his retirement Bob was the owner of Robert J. Swanson Company, a manufactures representing firm. He was also involved with many local organizations, such as AYH, SWAP, Toastmasters, Arlington Heights Community Concerts and the local senior center. Bob was a member of the Arlington Heights Countryside Church for many years before moving to Marquette, Michigan.

He is survived by his son, Timothy Swanson and his daughter Jeanne Swanson.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Swanson.

Memorial visitation Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.
