Ruth M. Vahl

Ruth M. Vahl was born April 18, 1910 in St. Louis, Missouri to Anton and Marie (nee Hoffman) Goerke. She died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights, Ill.

Mrs. Vahl is a retired librarian at Concordia University.

Her survivors include her daughter-in-law Karen Vahl; her grandchildren Christopher Michael and Corey Stephen (Leta) Vahl; her great grandchildren Cheyenne and Kaitlyn; her niece Ruth (Jerry) Vie and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Walter A. Vahl; her son Ronald W. Vahl and her sister Esther Coibion.

Visitation from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Monday July 7, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. proceeding to Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park for committal service at 1:00 PM. Memorial Service 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 Luther Village Wittenberg Commons, Meeting Rooms A and B, 1220 Village Dr., Arlington Heights, Ill.
