Ralph J. Elwart, Sr.
Of Arlington Heights for 55 years

Ralph J. Elwart, Sr. was born September 10, 1925 in Chicago to Paul Fred and Anna Genevieve (nee Schuler) Elwart. He died on Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home.

Mr. Elwart was employed in the graphic arts industry as a photoengraver before retiring. He served in the US Navy during WW II. He was active in the Boy Scouts and was the first Troopmaster of Troop #166.

Ralph’s survivors include his children Ralph (Janet Zukowski) Elwart, Jr. of Lake Forest, Michael (Ellyn) Elwart of Marietta, GA and Marian (Richard) Irmen of Egg Harbor, WI, his grandchildren, Dawn (Anthony) Diliberto, Ryan (Kristi) Elwart, Katie Elwart, Kelly Irmen, Ami Irmen, Elizabeth Elwart and Charlotte Elwart, his six great grandchildren, and his sister Dorothy Kent.

Ralph is preceded in death by his wife Maxine who died on July 1, 2007; his parents; his sister Irene and his brother Richard (Fern) and his brother-in-law Eugene Kent.

Visitation from 9:00 AM until time of prayers at 10:45 AM, Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights proceeding to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arl. Hts., IL 60004.
