Mildred M. England (nee) Day was born August 30, 1917 in Toulon, IL to John E. and Nina Day (nee Colgan). She Died July 16, 2007 at Lutheran Home and Services, Arlington Heights.

Mildred was a member of the ladies Auxiliary at St. Philomena parish in Peoria, the Catholic Women’s League and she volunteered for several years at the St. Francis Hospital Gift Shop in Peoria. She was a very caring and generous person who loved her family and enjoyed socializing with others. She and her family lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for 3 years.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 66 ½ years Robert C. England; her children Michael J. (Barbara) England, Marianne (William) Dixon, Therese England and Philip (Rebecca) England; her grandchildren Madeleine, Erin, Patrick, Dave, Lindsay, Kyna, Adrienne, Keith and Lea; her great grandchildren Dylan and Autumn; her sister Margaret Colgan and many nieces and nephews.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers James, Earl, Donald, Frank and Billy Day

Visitation from 4 PM until 8 PM, Wednesday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:45 AM, Thursday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:30 AM. Committal service 11:30 AM Friday at Resurrection Cemetery, Peoria, IL .
