Loris Boyce “Cris” Crisp
Of Buffalo Grove

Loris Boyce “Cris” Crisp was born June 30, 1912 in Manchester, England to Albert and Bertha (nee Howarth) Crisp. He died Saturday, July 7, 2007 at Belmont Village Assisted Living in Buffalo Grove.

Mr. Crisp was a window dresser for Wieboldt’s Department Store, a self-employed photographer, a stage designer for Cole’s Dance Studio, an executive gift buyer for Horowitz Jewelers and a free lance artist who worked with oils and watercolor. He served in the Army during WW II and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal for injuries received in Cannes, France where he spent eighteen months in the hospital.

Loris’ survivors include his wife of 33 years, Elvira nee Gerstenbrand, whom he married March 2, 1974; his step-children Patricia (James) Tell of Wonder Lake, Thomas (Madeleine) O’Donnell of Palatine and Donna (Robert) Huse of Des Plaines; loved grandfather of 10, great grandfather of 20 and great great grandfather of one; dear uncle of Adoree Webber.

Military honors and cemetery committal were held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 10, 2007 graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie. Arrangements by the Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., Arlington Heights.
