Diane R. Mertins, a 50 year resident of Arlington Heights, was born December 23, 1929 in Chicago to Pasquale and Theresa (nee Buffaro) Fiorito. She died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at home.

Mrs. Mertins was a homemaker.

Her survivors include her children Jim (Jacquie) Mertins of Arlington Heights, Bridget (Don) Catalano of Maricopa, Ariz., and John (Jill) Mertins of West Dundee; her grandchildren Michael, Cori, Nick, Carla (Tod) North, Joe, Bradley and Brooke; one great grandson Antonio; her sister Violet Boffa and her brother Orlando Fiorito.

Diane is preceded in death by her husband Alfred W. Mertins, her parents and her brother-in-law Phil Boffa.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, Ill.
