James Jerome Rusch
Of Vernon Hills formerly Arlington Heights

James Jerome Rusch was born August 10, 1960 in Chicago, to Jerome C. and Dorothy (nee Grzegozewski) Rusch. He died July 16, 2006 at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.

Jim had recently been promoted to manager at the Home Depot Store in Vernon Hills where he enjoyed working for the past four years. He was retired from the Countyside Fire Protection District after 11 years of service. Prior to that, he had been employed at Allstate Insurance in Northbrook for 19 years. Jim was the Cub Scout Master for Pack # 44 of the NEIC, he was involved in the VHCYAA Football Program as a league medic and field manager during their inaugural season and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Rosary Council #4483.

Jim is survived by his wife of 14 years, Becky Ann (nee Miller), whom he married on May 10, 1992 in Arlington Heights; his children, Jake Patrick and Marissa Jean Rusch; his mother; his sisters, Pat (Marc) Solomon, Cindy (Bob) Frenzer, and Nancy (Mike) Trafford; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 10:15 AM, Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Rusch Children Education Fund c/o Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd.
