Edith Erber
Of Arlington Heights

Edith Erber was born May 26, 1920 in Chicago to George and Frances (nee Streibenger) Kasang. She died July 17, 2006 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Erber was retired from Niedert Freight in Chicago and had been employed by OMC in Waukegan for 14 years.

Edith is survived by her children Donna (Richard) Erber of Arlington Heights and Ken (Linda) Shewan of Libertyville; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Sean) Burke, Kristen (Marc) Marseo, Jennifer, Jeffrey and Megan Shewan, Dan (Dawn) Erber, and Tom (Kim) Erber; her siblings, Helen (Jess) Overbey and Ruth Kasang of Las Vegas, NV; and her daughter-in-law, Pat Erber of Lindenhurst.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edwin Erber; her son, Carl Erber; her parents; and her brother Edward Kasang.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, July 20, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd (four blocks south of Palatine Rd), Arlington Heights and Friday, July 21, 2006 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Interment Randhill Park Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
