Arthur Albert Schmitz

Arthur Albert Schmitz was born on October 8, 1917 in Minot, ND to John and Martha (nee Renz) Schmitz. He died June 21, 2013 at his home in Arlington Heights.

Arthur was an active member of St. John LaGrange prior to joining St. Peter Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights.

Arthur is survived by his children, Nadine (James) Wallace, Paul (Susan) Schmitz, and Philip Schmitz; his grandchildren, James Schmitz, and Elizabeth Schmitz; his step-grandchildren, Melinda Wedzina, and Angie Miller and by 5 great grandchildren; his brother, Vernon Schmitz; and his sister-in-law, June Schmitz.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Lois Schmitz; his siblings, Alvin Schmitz, Albert Schmitz, Helen (Helmar) Schultz, and Dorothy (Lester) Funderburk; and by his parents.

Visitation Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 10 AM until the time of funeral service at 11 AM at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Burial at Montrose Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
