George Joseph Rezny
Of Arlington Heights

George Joseph Rezny was born November 15, 1935 in Chicago to George and Agnes (nee Simanek) Rezny. He died June 22, 2013 at the Lutheran Home and Services in Arlington Heights.

George was a 1958 graduate from Drake University. He was a pharmacist for 46 years for Harris Pharmacy in Arlington Heights, a volunteer firefighter for Elk Grove Village for over 10 years and was a founding member of the Fire Museum of Greater Chicago. George was an avid sports fan and had a passion for the history of firefighting in America.

George is survived by his children Laura (William) Fallon and Christopher (Jennifer) Rezny; his grandchildren Alexander and William; his sister Mary Jane (Nick) Kobal and by his nephews Scott (Carol Godoy) Kobal and Steven (Faith) Kobal, along with his great niece Shannon Kobal and great nephew Zachary Kobal and by many cousins and friends.

George is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation Monday, June 24, 2013 from 3 PM until 9 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 10 AM, Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment private.
