Bette B. Novak
Of Arlington Heights

Bette Novak was born on April 23, 1927 in Chicago to Joseph and Marie (nee Simon) Burger. She died Monday, June 10, 2013 at her home in Arlington Heights.

Bette worked as a substitute school teacher for the Chicago Public Schools. She was a member of Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Bette loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all.

Bette is survived by her husband (of 66 years) Daniel; her children, Mark D. (Patty) Novak, Katie (Steve) Lescohier, Mike J. (Alice) Novak, Eric "Rick" W. (Susanne) Novak, and Dan (Carol) Novak; grandchildren, Emily, Mark, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph, Michael, Erik, Sarah, Karl, Jimmy, John, and Haley; great-grandson, Samuel; and sister, Lucille Moore.

Bette was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Friday, June 14, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.1520 North Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 8:45 am, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the funeral home proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights, IL 60005, for a 9:30 a.m. Memorial Mass. Inurnment is private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Misericordia, Heart of Mercy, 6300 North Ridge Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60660-1017 or Attention: Tributes, The Anti-Cruelty Society, 157 West Grand Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60610-4274.
