James E. Devero
Of Palatine
James E. Devero was born on July 29, 1933 in
Chicago to Michael and Anne (nee Ibach) Devero.
He passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 in
Arlington Heights.
James graduated with a B.S. from the University
of Illinois, an M.B.A. from the University of
Chicago, named in Who’s Who in America in the
1970’s, a U.S. Patent holder, an internationally
published poet and a member of the Chicago
Industrial Chess League. He was also founder and
past president of DCS Financial Services.
James is survived by his wife of 57 years,
Sharon (nee Broderick) Devero; his children,
Jack (Nancy) Devero, Cynthia (William)
Ledbetter, Pam (John Brassil) Devereux and J.
Jay Devero; his grandchildren, Patrick, Thomas,
Quinn and Shane Devero; Adam and Kyle (Naghmeh)
Ledbetter; Brittany (Daniel) Broombaugh; Clay,
Will and Lia Brassil; and his
great-granddaughter, Myla Ledbetter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his
brothers, Kenneth Devero and Joseph (Veronica)
Devereux.
Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday,
June 4, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd.,
1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights and Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 9:30 am
until the time of Mass at 10:30 am at Holy
Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Rd,
Inverness. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to
Gift of Adoption Fund, P.O. Box 567, Techny, IL
