June M. Mattson

June M. Mattson was born on June 21, 1920 in Chicago to James and Margaret Vogan. She died Thursday, June 7, 2012 in Arlington Heights.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights since 1963. June was devoted to her family and her church. She was an avid reader, artist and lifetime learner.

June is survived by her children Michael (Anne) Mattson, George Mattson, Joan (Norm) Kurtz, James (Vicki) Mattson, Carol (Terry) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Jonathan (Jerrel) Mattson, Jeremy Mattson, Lisa (Kevin) Kempf, Christine (Erik Shepard) Mattson, Beth (Chris) Deiter, Benjamin (Royce) Kurtz, Samuel (fiance, Leora Sher) Kurtz, Kelsey Fitzgerald, Jamie Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren, Emily, Ashley, Ryan, Nathan, Raina, Cecilia, and Elliott; and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Vogan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Earle; siblings Evelyn Price and James Vogan.

Visitation from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Funeral Service 10:00 am, Monday, June 11, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens.
