Bertha Lillian Craig
Of Cumming, Georgia, formerly of Arlington Heights

Bertha L. Craig was born on July 12, 1919 in Chicago to John and Amelia (nee Hunski) Mayer. She passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 in Cumming, Georgia.

Mrs. Craig worked 28 years as an administrative clerk for Illinois Bell until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of The Pioneers Retirement Group of Illinois Bell and enjoyed gardening and reading. She loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Irene Larson and Mary Thomas; her grandchildren, Peter Thomas, Catherine Darby, Susan Thomas, Leslie Davis, and Sean, Mary, and Ricky Larson; her great-grandchildren, Victoria, Spencer, Lillian, and Thomas Darby, Ethan and Trystan Thomas, Dodge and Parker Davis and Paul Andrade; and her brother, Edward Mayer.

Bertha was preceded in death by her son, Harry Lee Craig and her parents.

Visitation from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, and Friday, July 1, 2011 from 12:30 PM until time of Funeral Service at 1:30 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 431 S. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
