James P. Zale
Of Arlington Heights
James P. Zale, 71, of Arlington Heights, beloved husband and best friend
of Lorette, nee Choquette, for 46 years; loving father of Susan (Robert)
Oldenburg, Jim (Susie), and Michael (Stacey); devoted grandfather of
Katie, Nicholas, and Elizabeth Zale and Zachary and Molly Oldenburg;
loving son of Olga, nee Bora and the late Albert Zale; dear brother of
JoAnn (Jim) Fischer, and Jerri (Tim) Traggardh; fond brother-in-law of
Bernie (Barb), Darlene (Rick); and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
After 36 years of service with the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development where he held several positions, he retired in 2000 as the Director of the Chicago Enforcement Center. He felt fortunate to be able to spend his retirement years vacationing with his dear wife, visiting family, working part time for American Greetings, and playing golf with the hearty and fun seniors at the Lake Bluff Golf Club.
Visitation 3-9 PM, Monday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights, and Tuesday, from 9 AM until time of Funeral Mass 10 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
Private interment at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
