Courtney Campbell Maltas
Of Arlington Heights

Courtney C. Maltas, formerly of Western Springs, was born June 7, 1953 in Chicago to Denis John III and Gladys (nee Marks) Campbell. She died at her residence Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Arlington Heights.

Courtney was a loving wife of 36 years to Kenny whom she married May 31, 1975 in Western Springs, Illinois; a mother first to Jennifer Isabel Maltas, Stephen Kenneth Maltas, and Jeffrey Allen Maltas; a loving sister of Christopher (James) McHugh, Cheryl Ann Campbell, Cynthia Joan Campbell, Claudia Campbell Krause, and Denis John (Debra) Campbell IV; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Courtney loved to cook, decorate and entertain. Her love for music was expressed in her singing in the 8:30 AM St. James Church Choir. Added to her traditional values was a unique sense of humor. She once told Ernie Banks at a Breast Cancer Awareness Day that she was Ken’s “Trophy Wife”.

Courtney is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation from until 3:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Joliet, under team name “Courtney’s Crusaders”, 17060 Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477.
